Rokstone Music/ UMPG writer Steve Mac is celebrating his massive No.1 hit, 'Shape of You', by Ed Sheeran (produced by Mac and co-written with Ed Sheeran & Johnny McDaid). The song has had 12 consecutive weeks at the top of the UK charts, reached No.1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, and since release has topped the official charts in 60 countries worldwide. 'Shape of You' has reached global sales of 6 million, and smashed Spotify streaming records on its first day. This follows on from Clean Bandit - 'Rockabye' ft. Sean Paul & Anne-Marie (which Mac co-wrote / co-produced) spending 9 weeks at the top of the UK charts, giving Mac 21 consecutive weeks at No. 1 - an extraordinary feat for a songwriter/producer.

Mac's incredible knack for crafting the perfect pop hit has made him one of one of the most successful writer/producers in modern pop. He's had 26 No.1 singles in the UK alone, and has been associated with over 170 hit singles and albums internationally. Mac is behind hits for artists as diverse as Ed Sheeran, Anne-Marie, Jess Glynne, Clean Bandit, Little Mix, Olly Murs, Birdy, Louisa Johnson, The Wanted, Demi Lovato, Selena Gomez, Rixton, Il Divo, Shakira, Westlife, Cobra Starship, One Direction, Susan Boyle, JLS, Kelly Clarkson and Leona Lewis, among others.

Mac has been recognized with numerous prestigious accolades including ASCAP Songwriter of the Year & Song of The Year awards, three BMI awards, a BRIT and a MOBO award for Best Single, and MMF Producer of the Year. He’s also received the MMF Record of the Year Award three times.
