2010 was absolutely huge for Example; he took the UK charts by storm with two Top 10 smash hit singles 'Won't Go Quietly' and 'Kickstarts' (which both achieved silver sales) whilst his anthem-packed album 'Won't Go Quietly' was certified gold. Having played a packed festival schedule, the BBC Radio 1 Student Tour and his own sold out 14-date headline UK tour, he finished off the year by releasing 'Two Lives', featuring on Professor Green’s hit ‘Monster’ and hitting the road again as the main support act for dance music legends Faithless' winter tour.
All these successes contributed to Example becoming the breakthrough act of 2010, but 2011 was even bigger. A collaboration with Skream, 'Shot Yourself in the Foot Again' went A-list on Radio 1, meanwhile his collaboration with label mate Wretch 32, 'Unorthodox' was a smash hit, reaching No. 2 in April 2011.
'Changed The Way You Kiss Me' – the first single from his third album ‘Playing In The Shadows’ - smashed straight into No. 1 in the charts in June, and the album also rose to No. 1 spot on when it was released in September.
in 2012 Example released his fourth studio album ‘The Evolution of Man’ today. The album has already spawned a No. 2 single with ‘Say Nothing’, whilst second single ‘Close Enemies’ has been receiving heavy support from Radio and featured as Zane Lowe’s ‘Hottest Record in the World’.
